Community Investment (CI) Volunteers are recruited each spring to work with the United Way Executive Director and Community Investment Co Chairs. Their volunteer duty is to help with the process and decision of allocating donations pledged during the prior annual United Way Campaign. All allocations and distributions will align with United Way of Paducah and McCracken County’s focus areas of education and care of children, strengthening families, emergency assistance and crisis prevention. When? For approximately 3 days in February/March of each year. Exact date and times TBA.
Campaign Cabinet Volunteers are recruited in the summer to work with the United Way Campaign and Marketing Staff, Campaign Co Chairs and Company Employee Coordinators. Their volunteer duty is mentor, support and provides campaign information to assigned companies to help meet United Way’s annual campaign goal. When? Will meet and communicate by email beginning September 1st until close of campaign in mid November. (Exact meeting dates to be determined by Campaign Cabinet).
Employee Co-coordinators (ECCs) are recruited in late summer by their CEO or Human Resources Director to coordinate their company’s annual United Way campaign. ECCs will work closely with Campaign Volunteers with duties include but not limited to – involving your CEO or Senior Management, recruiting and training your own campaign committee with in your company, promote and publicize campaign with in your company, hold a Campaign Kick Off and group meetings to educate employees about United Way’s mission and vision, provide United Way information to all employees, complete United Way pledge forms & summary envelope with correct and updated information and then celebrate your successful campaign! A complete ECC Toolkit, promotional materials, agency speakers, pledge forms, creative ideas, etc are provided. A complete volunteer job description is available upon request by email. When? United Way will Kick Off their annual campaign around September 1st and all company results are due to United Way by mid November.

Our focus is community impact – creating solutions to our community’s needs.
